-Challenges- -Bucking -Pinning ears -Weight -Bit's -Girth -Him rein pulling -Catching in the field -Correcting them- -Bucking: When I first rode bamboo he was very high alert and wanted to keep his head tucked and when I would ask him for a lope he would buck this went on for awhile till the next weekend when I rode him and didn't stop loping till he didn't buck both ways (there circles) He still bucks every once in awhile but only because he is excited and or fresh there is also another reason why he bucks but I will talk more on that in another section. -Pinning ears: I have always thought that when a horse pins his ears you did something wrong but now as I'm looking more into it I have noticed the reasons why he pins his ears because he doesn't want to get worked, the girth is going tighter, I'm asking him to work, and that he doesn't want to go faster I have not let him pinning his ears control our rides and still won't because I think that the reasons now our only due to laziness and is not because of pain or fear or extreme anger -weight: When we got bam bam we noticed that he was on the bigger size for his height and breed we are still confused why he was given weight gaining pellets when it was clear he was over weight we have now fully transferred him on our feed and only give him small amounts and he has slimed down and looking great but his weight is also apart of some other challenges I will explain more in its area. -Bit's: it looks to be that bam bam was trained English because when we put our western bits in his mouth that our less sensitive he starts to give more problems and lopes with his mouth open and doesn't like to stop messing with the bit in his mouth so we have bought some bits that our like English bits but are western ones and he has improved in western so much! -Girth: he has no problem getting saddled up its the girths problem with him because of him being overweight his skin was being pinched and that also contributed to his bucking and would cause little sores on him we think the reason he use to bite your feet also has to do with this problem I have no problem with the girths I use on my other horses and I have 10 of each for English and western so I have many sizes as well it just shows that his weight has added some more problems and luckily my trainer said to stop this to pull his leg forward after I girth him up so that I pull that fat forward (she is a vet tech) -Him Rein pulling: I'm not the one pulling the rein he is when we walk he likes to jerk his head forward so I let go of the rein or have not enough force to hold still he only does this during walking and I'm not even holding the rein tight we took him for a lesson and my trainer again believes he does this because he use to do saddle seat she says his training looks like a saddle seat horse with his head down throwing his legs forward and he over all movements. -Catching in the field: HE ONLY DOES THIS TO ME HE RUNS AWAY FROM ME WHEN TRYING TO CATCH 😂 whenever my other family members go out to catch him he stands like the best boy ever but turns his tail to me and runs off so I have to trick into thinking its feeding Time and catch in the stall luckily he hasn't caught on to that!!!! -My brother taking a nap 😂 -hows the weather up there!!!!!! -Working with liberty sorry I keep mumbling and you can't hear me some times 😂
