Journal Entry - MAY

Your MAY journal should be at least 250 words and include honest updates on your horse’s progress this month — the wins, challenges, setbacks, breakthroughs, and anything new you’re noticing or learning as your partnership continues to develop.
As you write, think about:
What feels more consistent than last month
What is still difficult or unpredictable
How your communication and connection with your horse is changing
One specific goal you want to work toward next month
Please include:
Conformation photos from all four sides (front, back, left, right)
A 2–5 minute progress video showing what you’ve been working on this month
These journals are meant to help you track growth over time and reflect on your journey with your horse. The more honest and detailed you are, the more meaningful they’ll be when you look back later.
This past month has been busy busy with show season and getting luna ready while also getting my other horses ridden it has been a lot. But i feel like Luna has really made great progress. We have been doing more ground driving in prep for the show and taking her out more and over obstacles. she has become much more engaged with me in other arenas and more distracting environments. Lately she has been getting a little hard to catch so that is something I need to work on before the show. She has improved so much with water being sprayed on her and she even walked into an unknown wash rack. We have been working on loading her into other people's trailer and though it takes a minute or two she has gotten so much better. I feel like I understand what I am and am not going to get out of her at the show and I am trying to be realistic in my routine and hopefully have a plan A and B depending on how she is acting. I have been very surprised lately how chill she is in new environments. And she has been standing tied to the trailer quietly. She has calmed down so much just overall and become less reactive, she really is a completely different horse than what I started with and I am proud of all we have accomplished so far. Our liberty sessions are so fun, and she will run around with me like a dog. I have noticed that if it's been a little bit since I have worked her, she can start to get a little pushy and just upset so she is definitely a horse that thrives off just consistent handling,
