Make a simple bulleted list of everything you spent on your horse this month: feed, vet, farrier, supplies, boarding, and anything else. Add your total at the bottom.

This is just to help you see the real costs of horse ownership, so keep it honest and keep it simple. I also recommend keeping a running list somewhere like your notes app, a journal, or an Excel sheet so your mid-year and final totals are easier to keep track of later on.
