Monthly Assignment- April
DUE MAY 20th @11:59pm
As we get closer to the State 4-H Horse Show, it is time to begin thinking about your Specialty Class routine and overall presentation. The goal of this class is to showcase your horse’s growth, training advancement, and partnership throughout the Homes for Horses Program in a fun, safe, and meaningful way.
Please submit the following:
Your potential theme or routine idea
Possible music choice(s)
3–5 skills, obstacles, or maneuvers you may want to showcase
Any props you are considering using
Whether you plan to perform in-hand, riding, or both
Additionally, write a short reflection discussing:
What strengths your horse has developed
What areas still need improvement before State
How you plan to create a safe, organized, and crowd-appealing performance
What story you want your performance to tell about your horse’s journey
This does NOT need to be finalized. The purpose of this assignment is simply to start brainstorming and preparing early for the State Show.
Remember: safety, horsemanship, and showcasing your horse’s progress are more important than flashy performances.
